DONNYBROOK

Upon leaving Bunbury area we decided to take a look down the South West Hwy. at Donnybrook before stopping at Busselton for a week.

We strolled down the main street of this country town which is known primarily for growing granny smith apples as well as pears, other varieties, peaches and berries.

The old train station is now the visitor information centre and I just loved these roses outside a real estate office.

After spending half an hour or more poking through the second-hand shop with lots of books and different things for Wayne to look at, we walked over the swing bridge over the Preston river and read the significance of the aboriginal serpent in the town gardens.

We then took the scenic route through to Capel and on down to Busselton.
