OUR MEMORABLE NULLARBOR LINKS

I think it took us seven days to play all the holes from Kalgoorlie to Ceduna.  That is 1,365 kilometres in distance for 18 holes of golf.  Wow.

We started in style with a cart at Kalgorlie Golf Club.

Two holes here - CY O'Connor and Golden Mile holes.

Our second day we played at Kambalda Golf Club which was very different (as were all the rest) from yesterdays holes.  Raining - bushes all down the fairway and gravel for the green!!  Different is all we can say.

This is the second hole here showing cleared fairway 1st Silver Lake and Watering Hole.
After our visit to Esperance we stopped back at Norseman to play our two holes here amongst the showers so did not take photos of Ngadju and Golden Horse holes.  Much the same as at Kambalda Golf Course.

Fraser Range Sheep Station was rained off so only got our card stamped and high-tailed it out before we got stuck on the road.

Balladonia Roadhouse - Skylab was a real doosy!!  Only a par 3 141m.

See the white and red sign down there.  Hit for that and with luck you will get on the green.

Didn't quite make the green so chipped in from here.
Cannot play this in the ant-hole!

Caiguna was the next for that day.  90 Mile Straight Hole.

The idea is to hit it between those white markers!

Keep your head down!

Oops - found the rough again.
Eagles Nest hole at Cocklebiddy saw the eagle soaring above us as we headed down the fairway.

Last hole at Madura Roadhouse was Brumby's Run a par 3 across alsorts - sealed entrance road, bush, trees and plenty of mounds!!!!

Keep your head DOWN!!!!!

The next day we got to Eucla Roadhouse to refuel and get stamped before heading over to the golf course which we could drive our rig all the way down the hole.

Nullarbor Nymph Par 4

The Border Kangaroo hole was next at Border Village.  If you look really hard, you can see the flag at the green at the end of the path!!!  That was the gap to aim between the trees and scrub.  Wayne par 3 this hole.  Only after I found his first hit off the tee.  He did not believe me he got pin high and just to the left.  He had already hit a second ball in from the scrub.  My ball was going straight but it hit the rocks on the path and veared off into the bushes.  Just my luck in this ....... game.

See that little white dot down the end of the path. Yep - that's the flag.

Nullarbor Roadhouse was the worst hole called Dingo's Den.  A par 5, 538m hole which one had to play into the 30 plus knot winds.   Not good day to play this hole.  Consequently, we did not finish this hole as we only took four balls between us and had lost them only past half way up the fairway.  Even if your ball landed on the fairway, it was terribly hard to find in the long grass-bushes.  THE WORST HOLE EVER.

After having a great morning out at The Head of the Bight we continued on to Nundroo Roadhouse to play Wombat Hole where we drove our rig all the way over the hill to the tee.

This was another grassy - rocky fairway so we took it in turns to watch and walk to the balls so we did not loose them.  We are finally learning how to play this course!!!!  Getting plenty of exercise so must be good for me.

Our final hole for the day was at Penong and the hole was Windmills Par 4 amongst the trees!!!!

Finally we finish at Ceduna Golf Course.  Two holes - Oyster Beds and Denial Bay.  Walked these two holes instead of driving the rig around.  No carts here?  Had to wait for the aboriginals walking up the fairway before we could tee off.

We learnt to rake the way to the hole before putting.

Finished at last.  Took a while but a great experience.
