Stanthorpe at Top of the Town

This Tourist Park suited us much better.  Water, power, shelter, clean amenities all around even though the back packers are here also.  Today being Sunday we walked into town for our exercise and got a few provisions.

Monday - we traveled back to Thulimbah to visit Castle Glen Vineyard (only one we wanted to) where we remembered had some drops of the good stuff from when we came this way ten or twelve years ago with the Golden Oldies Mud Crabs for Christmas in July weekend.  Also had to sample the local cheeses at Jersey Girls Cafe and coffee at Vincenzo's at the Big Apple.

Tuesday we decided to drive Mt Marlay (919m) to scenic lookout overlooking Stanthorpe township then down through Ballandean to walk some tracks in Girraween National Park.  The arch walk showed us the natural layout of flora, fauna, bush rejuvenating after a fire and the natural water courses.  So peaceful and relaxing.
