JANUARY

This cacti plant of Tracey's flowers for less than 24 hours normally opening on dusk.  It has flowered numerous times since we have been at her place so just have to take photos each time.

Wayne and I packed a picnic lunch and watched the Australian water skiing championship races on the Burnett River for the day. 6/1/16.

Saturday 9th Jan. I drove to Gympie with Traacey to pickup Jayden and Madison for them to stay until Wednesday when Wayne and I travel to Brisbane to fly out to NZ to visit family.  Sunday morning Tracey decides to take Jayden and Madi down to the Innes Park skate park with their scooters.  Within 1 minute Madi had gone down the ramp only to fall and break her wrist.  Off to hospital Madi, Tracey and I go to get her fixed up.  3 hours later with her arm in plaster we get home to celebrate Tracey's birthday with some friends.  Craig and Kylie arrive and take Madi home with them the next afternoon.

Meanwhile Jayden stays and Wayne, Tracey, Jayden and I go to Elliott Heads for them to try out their snorkeling equipment.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRACEY  12/1/2016  -  44 Today.
The 4 of us enjoy a yummy lunch at Grunskey's by the river.  Lovely setting but still can witness the destruction of the 2013 floods Bundaberg experienced.  (Will show later the photos - March)

Tracey, Jayden and I walked our lunch off looking/exploring the Barolin Rocks and waterpools.  Heaps of small fish and shellfish abound, no wonder many folk come and dive from here.

LAND OF THE LONG WHITE CLOUD  - NEW ZEALAND
Flew over to spend time with Mum (now 92 years of age), christine and Brad, Neville and families,  Murray and Sue, nephew Ryan and Helen and cousin Sheryl, Neil and Auntie Shirley.

2016

Wayne and I are counting down the months before we load up Duz Us and hit the Highways and Byways again after Easter this year when we will head north to Townsville, across the Flinders Highway and into Northern Territory and up to Darwin for Anzac this year.  Will stay there for a couple of months and have a good look around then head on over to Western Australia.

NOVEMBER

I love gardening and it gives me pleasure watching the flowers blooming.  I also spent many hours "harvesting" basil and drying it for us to use in our cooking.  It sprouts up through the flower garden so transferred some back down to the vege garden.
Planted numerous seeds but not one plant emerged from the ground.?!?!  Tried plants after that but only 6 tomatoe plants survived the heat!  So much for having an abundant, florishing vege garden for Tracey.

Got the boat running for Tracey - also the buggy so had a round of golf with Dave, Julie, Jack, Tracey and ourselves for "Cabbies Charity Day".  Thunder and lightening stopped us finishing!

Water hole from No 5 fairway/tee with thousands of magpie geese here at the moment.

Beautiful No 13 Tee over water up the hill.  No 12 is only 600metre par 6 in southern hemisphere PGA course.
Shona and Graham travelled up with their caravan and stayed at the Elliott Heads C Park so we showed them some of the sights of Bundaberg and had a couple of rounds of golf together.
Lunch at Bagara after a drive via The Hummock Hill lookout

Had to visit the Rum Distillery - nice tasting there.

Yummy Grunskes seafood lunch

Shona teeing off on No 2 Coral Cove Golf Course where "Wayne's Rock" is. Thomo that is.

Oh Dear.  We are getting tired we think.  Cannot even get over the bl...... water just below the tee of No 14.!!!!!!!!
27th of November saw the first grand daughter get married at Sirromet Winery beside the Tuscan Bar.  What a beautiful setting. Scott and boys arrived obn their bikes and Craig's muzzie and Alicia and attendants by horse and carriage.  Just so beautiful.
