SUNRISE AT WONGA BEACH

Left Wayne snoozing in bed at got up to view this - just beautiful at this time of the morning
I can now understand why most of the grey nomads have marked this spot on their calendars year after year to come up here and spend three months or more from the southern states.  It is certainly paradise BUT one cannot go swimming out there as the Daintree River is just a few kilometres up the way and so a large male crocodile swims past here to go visit the females down by the Rocky Point boat ramp.  Only last week a lady who went out fishing with her husband and friend saw one lying beside the boast ramp.  Too close for comfort!!

The Daintree River entrance is at the end of this sweeping beach with the Cape Tribulation Ranges behind.

Great place to sit and watch the fishermen on their quads pass bye - some with a dog on as well.  Locals very friendly and lovely to sit and contemplate with a coffee.
