BEAUTIFUL WEATHER AT LAST

Yes, we are now experiencing some lovely fine days even though there is a huge swell blowing in and the waves are pounding it is still great to feel the sand between ones toes, sun soaking into ones back and a breeze blowing.

We explored the walkway up to the top for a view of all the surfers trying to catch a wave on our bikes and then around the shopping district of Coolum.

We took a drive up to Noosa Heads, Tewantin then up to Boreen Point where we discovered a lovely spot but the camping ground was closed for the week.  Having a break before the school holidays I suppose.
What a busy place this is now.  I guess we are used to wide open spaces these days so walked from the inlet car park and looked back along the beach to the main beach and shops.  We did not even stop and stroll the shopping precinct before driving on up to Tewantin and beyond.

Boreen Point Foreshore Park Area
We stopped off at Noosa Marina and strolled around there before having a feast of scallops, calamari and prawns for lunch. Yum!

Another day we decided to drive down and reminisce of the times we took a weekend break up at Twin Waters Resort.  Like everywhere up here on the Sunshine Coast, the suburbs have multiplied and all run into each other.  Drove around to the beach side of the Resort only to find Sebel Twin Waters built and looking very busy.  Decided to take a walk out to the beach starting on the inlet side.  Lots of folk fishing and walking their dogs so found our way through the mangroves and sandhills over to the ocean beach.  Spectacular.  Sat and watched the day go bye before trudging back to the car and home.

Looking south to Cotton Tree, Alexandra Headland and Mooloolaba.
Saturday got ourselves out of bed a little earlier to get up to the Eumundi Markets.  Wow - how they have grown in size.  Plenty to look at, eat and listen to entertainment.  Well worth a visit if you find yourself up this way on a Saturday or Wednesday (I think it is).  The sights, sounds and smells strolling around here just enrich you as all sorts of stalls beckon you to buy.   No, No says Wayne - but.........  yes I did get a couple of tops to wear.

How on Earth can a person stand like this for so long and only mimic as people pass bye?!
I love taking sunset shots as I do not manage to get myself out of bed early enough to get a sunrise so here are a couple of shots from Coolum Beach.

HEADING NORTH AT LAST - FOUR DAYS LATE!

Thursday we managed to get our truck back from the doctors late yesterday and thankfully the rain has eased for us to pack up our home for the last two months at Loretta's and Steve's and head up to Cotton Tree Tourist Park where we will be until next Monday when we travel up to Coolum for a week.
From Cotton Tree Camp Ground looking towards Maroochydore inlet as the sun sets.

In time to meet Kylie and Madi for her Oz Tag Tri Series up here at the Sunshine Stadium over the weekend. (Madi only played Saturday as she then had to get to a Touch Tri Series down at the Gold Coast for Sunday).  Whew, they certainly live a hectic life with Jayden playing league and touch and Madi with all her touch and oztag!

Held and opening ceremony on the Friday evening. City, Country and Barbarians teams.
This shows the Barbarian Team members.

Got there just in time to capture this team photo from above Under 14 girls.
Madison played very well considering she hasn't played with these girls before and their second game showed all improved in their individual game.  We love watching their games and marvel at the improvement over the years as their develop their own skills.  Considering Madi has only just got the plaster off her broken wrist a couple of weeks ago, she is very brave to be out there on the field.

Madi taking the ball up but Don't dive Mad's - look after your wrist!!!!!!!!

Great to see that Christie and Poppie don't have to always poke out their tongues!

Yes, Nannie has got her Cooper fix with cuddles today.

The rain has been coming down for the last twenty four hours but thankfully the rain stayed away for us to have our family roast dinner together.  Luke Brooks drove for 14 and a half hours to get home to celebrate his Mums birthday with family.

I know Wayne and I will miss our family times that we have shared over the last two months while we have stayed here at Loretta and Steve's.  Love , love, love our families.

Hoepfully our truck will be ready for us to head up to the Sunshine Coast on Tuesday.
