MARCH

Tracey and I have been busy sorting out cupboards, wardrobes and our stored boxes in the garage to down-size the possessions we no-longer need!!!!  Held a couple of garage sales and also put the tinnie which Wayne got running out as well.

EASTER BREAK
Friday we packed a picnic lunch and drove down to Woodgate Beach and lazed on the beach in and out of the water watching heaps of small boats prawn netting just off the beach.  Tracey and I took and walk while Wayne snoozed the afternoon away before we headed home.

Saturday we took a cruise on the Bundy Belle up and down the Burnett River to listen to the history along the way.  A very interesting tourist event to do while one is here in Bundaberg.
Tracey in front of the Bundy Belle and Grunskes have these fish, tortise and other lovely rock sculpters throughout their grounds.

The two bridges spanning the Burnett River in the city were covered in the flood waters - one being damaged.

One can see by these markings on the building how high the waters rose.  Very frightening for the residents of Bundaberg

These sugar storage sheds are the largest in the world as boats cannot get into the river only on high tides.

This boat was washed up over on the aboriginal land and the owner is still negotiating to retreive it.

Sunday after Tracey and I had a pamper-time getting a manicure and pedicure we had a farewell get-to-gether with a few friends we have made over the time we have been here with Tracey.

The patio and flower bed looking lovely after repotting and maintaining the beds.
